Cakeworthy is a quirky and imaginative clothing company that is inspired by pop culture and all things Disney. Finding mass appeal through a thriving community of Millennial Disney fans, Cakeworthy creates clothing and accessories that allow young adults to wear their favourite characters and films on their sleeve (quite literally). In my three years thus far of working with the brand, I have created dozens of product designs that have been printed on t-shirts, hoodies, purses, hats, and everything in between. Having acquired product licenses from major global entertainment brands such as Disney, Marvel, Nickelodeon and Sony, Cakeworthy brings an unending array of exciting projects that never fail to bring out my inner cartoon-loving kid.
A Revitalized Brand
My work with Cakeworthy began with recreating their existing logotype. As the company had already developed a strong brand equity and loyal fanbase, it was crucial to maintain the personality of the original logo. By breathing fresh life into the overall structure that had already been solidified in the minds of customers, Cakeworthy's new logo would help to bring the brand into a new era of success and creativity.
Following the success of the rebrand, the project continued with the development of numerous supporting apparel designs that focused around the concept of the poison apple in the classic Disney picture Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The signature bright, bold aesthetic coined by the original designs has since been carried across a variety of other clothing and product designs.
